This awesome TED talk shows how big companies like Facebook and YouTube are designing new things on their pages.

My main take away are:

  • Design with the users in mind
  • Data-driven design is working to improve a good design to a great one. A bad design is not going to be great with data-driven approaches.
  • It's important to put effort into your design to reach every user
  • Change Management is especially impotent on platforms for user-generated content. Users get used to work around bad designs.
